North County Farmers Market Association (NCFMA) was established in 1985 to serve the local community with farm fresh, locally made goods all while providing a place for local farmers to sell their goods. All of our markets are certified farmers markets. A certified farmers market is permitted by the county agriculture commissioner and then inspected and held to standards by the county agricultural department. Which means you are guaranteed that the products at our markets are locally grown, seasonal and sold by the direct farmer or an employee. NCFMA operates as a true farmers market and only allows farmers and food purveyours to be a part of our markets. NCFMA gives membership and space to farmers first. We also invite food purveyors as guests to be a part of our farmers markets. NCFMA is comprised of four different markets: Baywood, Paso Robles, Atascadero, and Templeton. We operate year round, rain or shine. A market is only closed in the instance of dangerous weather. Check out our Facebook, Instagram, or give us a call if you are questioning a market being open!
While shopping at the farmers market, you get to meet many of the farmers or individuals who help grow the bountiful produce. This allows you to have a better understanding of what you are purchasing and where your food came from.
The produce and products at the farmers markets are some of the freshest options you have access to. These are local farms that aim to provide fresh, flavorful, and quality products to the community.
The produce and products at the farmers markets are some of the freshest options you have access to. These are local farms that aim to provide fresh, flavorful, and quality products to the community. Everything is seasonal, but we are fortunate on the Central Coast and have access to many fruits and veggies year round.
Casey grew up on her parent's farm, Rocky Canyon Farms in Atascadero, California. Her family raises beef, pork, chicken for meat and eggs, melons, tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, winter squash, and so much more. A graduate of Atascadero High School in 2016, she also was a part of 4-H, FFA, junior and high school rodeo and many other horse groups and activities growing up.
In 2020, Casey graduated from Cal Poly with a degree in Agriculture Science. Through college, she worked at Santa Margarita Feed and worked various markets for her parents throughout the week. After college, she went to work for La Panza Ranch and Olive Oil where she helped with their olive oil sales, milling and bottling process. She also ran their office and helped with the cattle operation. After that, she focused and expanded upon her accounting background that developed at Santa Margarita Feed and La Panza Ranch and started working for MGE Underground, Inc's accounting department. Quickly, she learned the office lifestyle was not for her biased off how she was raised.
Life came full circle for Casey in September of 2023 and she was given the opportunity to manage the North County Farmers Market Association. The markets are generally such a happy place to be and she feels she ended up right where she was meant to be all along.
In 2025, she married her husband. In her free time, she keeps up with her horse hobby, two dogs and has served as the Creston 4-H Beef leader since 2022. Today, you can find Casey at any one of NCFMA markets. Swing by and chat with her!
The North County Farmers Market Association is made up a seven person board. The board is voted on by the membership (the farmers). Each board member's term is two years long and does not exceed two consecutive terms.
